CANON INFORMATION

CHARACTER NAME: MOMO Mizrahi
CANON: Xenosaga
HISTORY: Over here on the Xenosaga wiki!

STRENGTHS:
+ Kind: MOMO is always willing to look out for others. When Cherenkov's injured during the period that the Elsa's stopped at the Dock Colony for repairs, MOMO offers to heal him when she notices. She helps evacuate the Foundation when Gnosis attack. In her route in Xenosaga Freaks, she offers to contribute her pocket money to pay off Captain Matthews' debt. (Which he turns down, because he's fairly certain that Ziggy and Jr. would both kill him for it. And let's be honest, he's probably correct.)
+ Intelligent: Maybe it's at least partly because she's a recon Realian, but information is where MOMO shines.
+ Determined: If MOMO wants to do something, there really isn't much that's going to stop her.
FLAWS:
- Overly trusting
- She's literally too kind for her own good. When Gnosis attack the Kukai Foundation in the first game, she runs back to help people who need it, despite the fact that she is well-aware there are people looking to kidnap her. The fact that she's at risk doesn't even cross her mind, not when there are people that could possibly need help. Spoiler: This, plus going down an alley that she thinks she sees her deceased father go down, is what gets her abducted by Albedo, and good lord does that end badly for her.
- What's a self-preservation instinct? Not only is MOMO too kind for her own good sometimes, but her self-preservation is... lacking. She's a little too ready to get herself hurt or otherwise in hot water if it means helping others or stopping a threat. There's the above example of running back to help people at the Kukai Foundation in the first game, for starters. In Episode II, during her data analysis, Albedo (are you starting to see a trend here) springs a trap that he'd implanted in her at the Song of Nephilim in order to get the Y-Data from her. Now, how does MOMO respond to this, once she realizes?

CANON ABILITIES:
- 100-Series Prototype - MOMO is the prototype for the 100-Series Observational Realians, so she has similar analytical capabilities, powerful sensory arrays, and the ability to compute incredible amounts of data really quickly.
- Hilbert Effect - Like all the 100-Series Observational Realians, MOMO can employ the Hilbert Effect. Without going into all the technobabble involved, it basically means she can make sure people fighting Gnosis can actually hit them reliably, and she can make machine sensors go screwy for a short period of time. It's a bit limited in range, though...
- Ace Pilot - In Episode I, when Tony compliments the maneuvering of the ship that Ziggy and MOMO used to escape from the U-TIC base on Pleroma, talking to Ziggy, Ziggy actually credits those skills to MOMO. Plus, she's the one that's piloting E.S. Zebulun in Episodes II and III.
- Driving - It's only really seen once, and in the context of a chase scene, but MOMO is definitely capable of driving. Even if she's doing things that would make a few stunt drivers rightfully nervous in order to lose their pursuers.
- Tech Attacks - MOMO has access to a number of tech attacks in I and III. You can find the lists here and here (III's listed with the Ethers for convenience) respectively.
- "Mystic powers, grant me a miracle!" - MOMO has access to Ethers, Xenosaga's equivalent of spells. While in II, she shared pretty much all of her Ether abilities with everyone else (leaving the player to build everyone up as they liked), her Ether abilities as of Episode III have gone off into a full-on Red Mage build of sorts. Her episode III list is over here!
- Has a right hook like a freight train - By Episode III, it's clear that MOMO's got some pretty impressive physical strength that Ziggy taught her how to put to use. Like, seriously, she can punch harder than he can. One of her techs has the same name and animation as Ziggy's basic attack... but it does more damage and has a heavy breaking effect. Earlier example: She can do some pretty decent damage with just a frying pan in Xenosaga Freaks: she puts Jr. (a supersoldier, even if one that's physically a child) and KOS-MOS (a combat android) on the floor with it (and just laughs when Shion says she might've hit too hard...).
- Bullseye! - Between Episode I and Episode II, MOMO switches weapon types. Where before she used a magical girl-esque rod for her attacks, she opts instead to start using an Ether-based compound bow. She's very skilled with it.

AU INFORMATION

AU CHARACTER NAME: Momo Mizrahi
AGE: Physically and mentally 14, chronologically 2
GRADE: 9th grade
AU BACKSTORY: (What was it like for your character growing up and living in this setting? This can either be a bullet-point list or a few paragraphs, but it should include things such as the emergence of their power and any involvement in a Secret Society.)
Quick note before I get going: The involvement Ziggy ([personal profile] sauerfacedcyborg) has in Momo's backstory has been talked over and cleared with Jess!
- Momo's father was a man who researched the Outland for a living, living happily with his wife, his disabled daughter, and a friend from the Outland--a fey.
- The researcher wanted to give his daughter a way to communicate with the outside world, so, with the assistance of the fey, he began building an artificial "sister" who would help with that.
- It was a happy life until the daughter died suddenly, leaving Momo's father sick with grief--and desperate to bring the girl back.
- Despite the combined effort of the two with magic and science to convert Momo into being a vessel for the daughter's spirit, they were unable to bring the girl back.
- The vessel the two of them had created together, however, managed to develop her own personality thanks to the magic used.
- Wisely, the two stopped any further resurrection attempts in their tracks. The researcher began to see her as a new, second daughter instead of as a replacement for the first one, and gave her the name "Momo."
- The researcher's wife, on the other hand... was understandably unhappy about this turn of events. It put a strain on her marriage to the researcher, leading to the two eventually divorcing.
- The researcher raised Momo the best he could, homeschooling her in between his work.
- After two years, he died under mysterious circumstances. Momo was sent to live with his ex-wife. The ex-wife was quite unhappy about this.
- During the time Momo was living with the researcher's ex-wife, she started making use of her abilities.
- At some point before being brought to the school, Momo was captured by an organization called U-TIC. As it turns out, her unique set of powers and the method of her creation made her the key to accessing a lost site important to the organization that was protected by a magical barrier.
- Arrangement made between Juli and Daybreak to rescue Momo in return for her attending the school
- eyyyyyyy

AU PERSONALITY DEVIATION: (Briefly describe how the character differs from their canon iteration. This can be a bullet-point list or a few short paragraphs. If you are apping an original character, this section may be skipped.)
The biggest difference between MOMO and Momo is unlike her canon counterpart, Momo actually got to spend a couple of years with her father, and actually has a concrete idea of what he was like instead of just having stories of how much of a lunatic the man allegedly was from everyone else.

... Also, like. Her name isn't an acronym-possibly-backronym.

RACE: Magical construct, created with the help of fey magic.
SECRET SOCIETY: (Describe your character's place within a Secret Society if applicable. If the character is a Candle, this can be as simple as having manifested powers and been recruited to the school but if the character is a Vampire or Werewolf, this should be more in-depth about their clan and their standing within their clan)

POWERS: (Describe how your characters abilities manifest and how they use them. Powers can be modeled closely to a character's canon abilities, with the major caveat being they will have to be reduced in overall power if they include abilities that can shatter planets or otherwise break the game)

Momo has a natural set of abilities thanks to the magic that was used in her creation, namely dispelling illusions and healing. Also, as a construct rather than a human, she's a bit stronger and more durable than the average human.
Thanks to the specific method of her creation and having developed her own personality, she also has a Flame ability that [blah], and is the key to the magical barrier protecting the site that U-TIC seeks.
- dispelling illusions
- healing
- increased strength and durability
- literally the key to [insert site here]'s magical barrier
- Flame ability

HOUSING: She'll be living with a member of the faculty!
